Much of what we run is remote-managed by design — backup agents, cloud destinations, monitoring and alerting all work the same way regardless of where the workstation, server, or NAS physically lives. How a remote-managed backup service works

Most backup work does not need someone in the same room as the device. Once the backup agent is installed and configured, the job runs unattended. The data goes to the cloud destination over the public internet. Our monitoring sees every job from anywhere. Failed jobs are flagged the same day, regardless of the device's physical location.

For SaaS data sources — Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace — physical location is irrelevant by design. Both are cloud platforms accessed over the public internet. Setup happens by connecting to the customer's tenant. Backup, monitoring, and recovery happen entirely in the cloud, from our Singapore operations centre.

For on-premises systems — workstations, servers, NAS — we work with the customer's local staff or local IT support for the one-time install. Once the agent is in place, ongoing management is remote.
